I Was Here – Lady Antebellum
This is kind of my “facing graduation” song, but much less cheesy than the Vitamin C “Graduation” song. It is all about leaving a mark and making the world know you existed and made a difference. Ok, so it still has a cheese factor, but it’s still a good listen nonetheless.
Crystal Ball – P!nk
I have been a P!nk fan since before her name included an exclamation point. I think she has an amazing voice, and this song showcases her range. It is much slower than her previous songs, but it adds a nice twist to my playlist.
Zombie – The Cranberries
This one made it into a recent playlist rotation when my roommate, Katie, and her twin sister Jacquie, did a karaoke version at Whitney Bar and Grill recently. Now it’s one of those memory lane songs because I think back to listening to them perform it. And of course, it’s a great track.
Who You Are Without Me – Kate Voegele
Another recent find, it’s a great song for anyone just getting out of a bad, overly-clingy relationship. This one will leave you singing along after just a few listens, as the hook is very catchy.
100 in a 55 – Pop Evil
An old favorite from one of my favorite bands of all time. Always my fave to see them perform, and listen to while walking to class; it just gets you pumped up. And with the guys working on a new album currently, I’ll have even more to add into my playlist.
